No matter how high-tech we get in agriculture, it’s how efficient we are at some of the world’s oldest jobs, like preserving high-quality forages, that determines if we’re a success. Today, that means round baling, but not just any round baling

New Holland BR7000 Series Roll-Belt Round Balers

New Holland’s BR7000 Series round balers come in 11 distinct models producing bales that range from 300 to 2,200 lbs. In addition, some New Holland balers are specifically intended for high moisture content to facilitate high-quality round bale silage.

The BR7000 Series has a sealed, adjustable hydraulic bale density control system which builds consistent, tight bales in many different crops. A density-control knob changes the pressure, making it simple and easy to alter bale density.

To help make bales more palatable to livestock, BR7000 Series balers offer two different cutting systems. The Bale-Slice system uses a series of knives to cut the crop as the bales are being formed. This makes bales more digestible to livestock. The CropCutter rotary feeding and cutting system unique to the BR7060 and BR7070 uses 15 knives to cut the crop as it is fed into the baler, creating heavier, denser bales. In silage this results in greater fermentation. In straw, it makes for easier spreading and absorbency.

The BR7000 series features the Auto-Wrap and Bale Command Plus systems to help deliver quality bales. According to New Holland, the Auto-Wrap system ensures consistent twin placement, so your last bale is as good as your first. The Bale Command Plus system is an electronically controlled twine and net wrapping and monitoring system, which makes it easy to produce consistent well-shaped bales.
