AGCO DT Series

ACGO’s DT Series tractors, including the DT205B, DT225B, DT250B and DT275B, range in pto horsepower from 205 to 275 hp. According to Agco, the DT series is fully engineered from the ground up incorporating the best technology and the most advanced engines and transmissions ever to go to the field. The new DT series features the AGCO Sisu Power six-cylinder engine with its e3 technology, which lets the tractor operate at higher horsepower using less fuel and trapping less heat. This technology makes for a cleaner-burning tractor that satisfies emission standards without compromising power and efficiency.

The DT series features the CVT (continuously variable transmission), which provides for maximum efficiency because it lets the operator choose from an infinite number of speeds from 60 ft./hr. to 32 m.p.h. with an optional front axle suspension.

According to Agco , the hydraulics on the DT series deliver the kind of flow and precision that makes implements respond quickly and smoothly. The DT series is equipped with a closed centre hydraulic system, which provides a flow of 46 g.p.m. to four hydraulic spool valves with the option of one or two remotes. These are controlled by a programmable multi-directional joystick, which allows the operator to program the flow and speed of the hydraulics to their specific applications.

John Deere 8R/8RT Tractors

John Deere offers the 8R/8RT series, ranging from the 8225R with 225 engine horsepower to the 8345RT with an engine horsepower of 345. New to this John Deere series of tractors is the CommandView II Cab with new interior colours, bigger size, more space and increased airflow to enhance the operator environment.

The John Deere 8R/8RT series offers up the new “AirCushion” suspension system, which John Deere refers to as the ultimate in track-tractor suspension technology. This new track technology uses a pivot pin, swing arm, walking beam, air bag, shock absorber, nitrogen accumulator and tensioning cylinder in combination to enhance the comfort of the track experience.

A 9.0-litre six cylinder, four-valve John Deere engine powers the 8R/8RT series tractors with two choices of transmissions. These are the 16-speed automatic PowerShift or the Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) which will automatically maintain an ideal engine speed even under changing load conditions. Hydraulic flow runs at 63 g.p.m. with an option for 85 g.p.m.
