Challenger MT 800C/MT900C

Challenger has introduced its new lineup of advanced “C” series high-horsepower tractors, based on MT800 C Series track and MT900C four-wheel-drive articulated models. These feature challenger’s redesigned tractor management system, engineered for an enhanced, intuitive operator experience, plus an ISOBUS control system which integrates with compliant ISOBUS implements to elevate the productivity and performance of the tractor.

There are nine models in the challenger Advanced “C” line, spanning the engine horsepower range from the MT835C at 410hp to the MT875C/MT975C at a whopping 585 hp. The challenger MT835Cm, MT845Cm, MT855Cm and MT945C feature the CAT C15 Caterpillar engine with 15.2 L- or 923-cubic inch displacement. The MT865C, MT875C, MT965C and the MT975C have a CAT C 18 engine with 18.1 litres or 1,106 cubic inches of displacement. According to challenger, these engines have up to a 42 per cent torque rise, which under heavy loads give the CMT875C and MT975C the guts to push out more than 630 engine horsepower.

These challenger tractors have the CAT-built 16F X 4R electronically controlled powershift transmission designed specifically for both track and four-wheel-drive applications. There are eight gears in the popular working range of four to 9.3 mph. Challenger says their unique Mobil-trac system gives the smoothest ride in the industry, with no grease zerks or daily maintenance points. The Mobil-trac’s long wheelbase and six-axle design distributes tractor weight over a greater area for lower ground pressure, which boosts track efficiency on most soils.

Versatile HHT 4WD

Versatile’s high horsepower lineup is focused on power, durability and reliability. Its 4WD tractors from 305 to 535 hp feature proven Cummins engines, durable transmissions and spacious cab environments, and Versatile says they will serve the farm for many years.

The Cummins QSM11 11 L six-cylinder engine powers the Versatile 305, 440, 375 and 400 series while the Cummins QSX 15 L six-cylinder engine powers the Versatile 435, 485 and 535 hp models. With a 35 per cent torque rise at 1400 rpm, peak horsepower is boosted. These tractors offer a choice in transmissions between a mechanical 12×4 synchronized transmission and a CAT TA22 Powershift transmission with 16 forward gears and four reverse speeds, and with eight gears in the field working range.

HHT Versatile tractors also feature outboard planetary axles developed by Versatile engineers with the planetary and sun gears placed toward the end of the axle.
