The John Deere D Series includes five models ranging from 58 to 89 hp with a tipping load range of 3,600 lbs to 6,400 lbs. Deere has incorporated bigger operator stations with a quieter pressurized cab and improved visibility. They have also added a number of productivity enhancements, including DH joysticks with selectable control patterns and variable boom and bucket speed settings.
Foot controls are standard on D series models, or operators can choose EH joysticks which provide low-effort fingertip control and smooth machine response. With the EH Performance Package, operators can customize the skid steer to their own preferences. For instance, the skid steer can be set in creeper mode, which decreases ground speed in 10 per cent increments while maintaining maximum oil pressure. There are also precision, utility and production modes for specific applications.

Deere describes the D series as having superior stability based on optimal weight distribution, low centre of gravity, high ground clearance and a long wheelbase. Their patented vertical-lift booms deliver exceptional height and reach, and there are more than 100 available Worksite Pro attachments. The universal self-cleaning power Quik-Tach system changes attachments seamlessly. The D-Series is also ready to provide high-flow power to run hydraulic-thirsty attachments like trenchers and cold planers.
