Bobcat invented the skid-steer loader over 50 years ago but is still re-inventing the concept, says Doug Zoerb, spokesperson for Bobcat in Fargo, North Dakota. Proof is the new M Series with the S630, S650 and the S850. According to Mike Fitzgerald, Bobcat’s loader product specialist, the M Series features the most significant design changes since the introduction of the first models.

Hydraulics are key to compact loader productivity. Bobcat has responded in their M-Series by boosting hydraulic power 15 per cent, with standard auxiliary hydraulic flow at 23 gallons per minute at 3,500 lbs. There is also as optional 30.5 gpm high-flow system for maximum attachment performance.

This improved hydraulic capacity on the M-Series is enhanced by a 15 to 20 per cent increase in “tractive effort” through improvements in the hydrostatic and final drive system. Control of these Bobcat M-Series Skid Steers is your preference from standard steering and foot pedals, H-pattern hand controls or low effort Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC) inside a heated and air-conditioned cab. There are also quick couplers with pressure release for clean attachment changes, taking under a minute with the Bob-Tach Mounting system.
