Raven offers a wide range of precision agriculture applications based on their Raven Cruizer console for controlling precision applications. The console has a built-in WAAS receiver and is also able to receive signals from an external receiver that is scalable from the Omnistar XP to HP to RTK. Combined with the Raven SmartSteer, you can achieve accuracies using the OmniStar GPS of +/-four inches(XP), +/-two inches (HP) or RTK.

Ryan Molitor, a Raven marketing representative, says that both the Raven Cruizer and SmartSteer are built for simplicity. Both units are simple to install, simple to set up, and simple to operate and to move between machines. For example, the Cruizer is icon based which makes it intuitive and very easy for growers to use. The SmartSteer 3D compensates for machine roll, pitch and yaw to adapt to many different field types and conditions.

SmartSteer has a direct mechanical gear drive which eliminates slippage and its high-torque motor maintains accuracy even in tough field conditions. The SmartSteer has a foot-pedal steering engagement, which is convenient and keeps your hands free for other operations. When you take hold of the steering wheel, the steering disengages. You don t have to flip any switches or push any buttons. Simply grab the wheel and you are back in control.
