For those who have liquid manure, the Ontario company Nuhn produces manure spreaders with capacities from 8,000 gallons to 15,000 U.S. gallons in the Nuhn Quad Train, a design that Nuhn says re-defines large-capacity spreading.
Even though to the untrained eye the Quad Train looks like a “double spreader,” it’s designed as a single. According to Nuhn, axle locations, tongue length, frame and hitch all vary from the standard tank size. This innovative design produces a large spreader which turns, backs up, and is easier to handle than a large single tank. The Nuhn Quad train uses a tandem suspension system, which reacts instantly as opposed to hydraulic suspension that must move oil through small hoses.

The Nuhn front pump provides an in-tank agitation system with no moving parts. It also pressurizes the unloading system which allows an even spread from light to heavy. There is also a volume control feature, which allows for additional attachments and a low spread pattern. Nuhn has the heaviest axles in the industry, 25,000-lb. hubs with six-inch spindles. www.nuhn.ca
