New Holland designed its new T8 series of 4WD Tier 4A tractors to redefine how large-scale agriculture gets done with a revolutionary compact, long-wheelbase design. The five T8 models start with the T8.275 at 185 PTO hp and span up to the T8.390 at 280 PTO hp. These tractors produce more power with less noise and fuel and achieve higher speeds with better manoeuverability than earlier models, and also incorporate increased technology for simpler operation.
T8 tractors also feature ECOBlue technology with SCR Cursor 9 engines that deliver increased horsepower while using less fuel and meeting the stringent Tier 4A emission standards. According to New Holland, this means operators will cover more acres in a day, saving both time and money. On top of that, the T8 engine power management system continuously adjusts engine output to match working conditions, thereby optimizing total fuel and performance efficiency for even greater savings.

T8 tractors can be equipped with up to six electronic remotes, each controlled right from the Sidewinder II armrest. This is further enhanced by the IntelliView III touchscreen in the cab, which controls the flow timing and detent settings on the hydraulics. A Megaflow pump option is also available to increase hydraulic capacity to 72.3 gallons per minute versus the standard 42.5 gallons. The T8 Series has four transmission options, an 18X4 standard power shift, a 19X4 power shift with a fuel economic overdrive or a new 19X4 power shift with a 31 m.p.h. transport option. The fourth option is a 23X6 creeper power shift, where creeper gears can be engaged on the go without having to stop. www.newholland.com
