The Sidewinder II control console is available on the T7, T8 and T9 New Holland tractor ranges. This control console comes with a real “New Holland” feel to it, which can be important for owners of numerous New Holland products as it reduces the time to train operators. According to New Holland, the initial design was developed with the help of automotive ergonomic operator simulation software.
The result is a console designed for comfort and optimal operator productivity. A rocker switch on the left side of the armrest adjusts armrest position. The armrest is mounted at an angle so fore/aft adjustment will raise/ lower the armrest at the same time. The company says this allows for different operator arm lengths, the ultimate in comfort and convenience for controls.
