Deere always thinks big, so it’s little surprise the company’s goal with its 8 Series lineup of round balers has been to produce a model that’s right for your farm whether you’re baling dry hay, heavy silage, abrasive corn stalks or finer crops.
The 8 Series Round Balers feature DiamondTough belts, which Deere says are extremely tough. These belts start the bale fast and roll the crop into even layers. In fact, Deere demonstrates the durability of these belts by showing web video of them handling rocks, steel and other foreign material which may be picked up in normal field conditions.

The 8 Series balers also feature CoverEdge net wrap, which covers not only the rounded surface but also the bale edges, thereby protecting the nutrients in the bale. Most Deere balers also feature the BaleTrak PRO monitor-controller, which shows you exactly how the bale is forming in the chamber. BaleTrack PRO alerts you when the size of the bale is reached, when wrapping or tying begins and ends, and when the bale is ejected.
