John Deere launched its new 7R series in June with a focus on increased power, versatility and capacity, as well as improved comfort for superior operator performance. The series brings five new models from 200 hp to 280 hp and equips them with performance features that until now were only available in the larger 8R series.

According to Jarod McGinnis, John Deere division marketing manager, the 7R series tractors are completely new from the ground up. They are designed for the producer who needs a more versatile tractor that has more horsepower, more fuel capacity, and greater hitch-lift capacity in order to handle larger implements and be more productive in the field, McGinnis says. At the same time, we ve integrated a new Interim Tier 4 EGR PowerTech engine, a fully automatic Infinitely Variable Transmission and other cutting-edge technologies into these tractors to deliver improved fuel efficiency.
