On display at Louisville, the three-section, 20-foot 2007 HD has hydraulic weight transfer from the cart to the implement and from the centre of the wings. This means that all rows have the same amount of weight available regardless of position. The 2007HD 10-foot transport width puts that big capacity into a small space to transfer from field to field. In addition, standard seed chutes for each hopper make for easy cleanout without going under the seed hoppers.
Key to any drill is the opener and the HD 2007 utilizes 07HD openers for accurate seed placement. These openers feature four-mm thick disc blades offset a half-inch and a planter-style seed tube to consistently place seed in the bottom of the trench. The 18-position depth-controlling press wheels (four different types) follow to close the trench and firm the seed into the moisture. www.greatplainsmfg.com
