GEA Farm Technologies of Quebec produce 12 steerable models of liquid manure spreaders from the EL48-4D-3200 at 3,850 U.S. gallons up to the EL48-8D-7900 with its 9,500 U.S. gallon capacity. According to GEA Technologies, these spreaders offer excellent maneuverability in all types of terrain. Their exclusive hydraulic power steering and quality suspension provides greater resistance to ground obstacles. The GEA Houle power steering system is unique in that it matches the turning angle of the tractor.

The hydraulic suspension is based on suspension cylinders that are located close to the centre of gravity of the reservoir. According to GEA , when the spreader is full, this design reduces excessive load variation on the drawbar and it improves the tractor traction, with the suspension cylinders providing equal weight distribution on each wheel.

The EL 48-D spreaders have a front fill indicator, drain system and braided hydraulic lines. Baffles are installed inside the reservoir, which provides excellent manure stability, and the spreaders are coated with a layer of Epoxy primer and two layers of Urethane paint, making them resistant to extreme conditions.
