John Deere offers myriad auto-steer options which can be fully integrated for increasing levels of precision. Included in their lineup, for instance, are AutoTrac SF1 with +/-10-inch accuracy, AutoTrac SF2 with +/-four-inch accuracy and RTK that is accurate to within an inch.

Combined with a StarFire receiver and GreenStar display, the integrated steering kit, which automatically steers the vehicle, is tied directly into the steering system for optimum accuracy. These components cannot be moved to other farm vehicles. However, Deere also offers Universal AutoTrac steering kits, which are designed so they can be moved from vehicle to vehicle throughout the growing season.

Deere also sells AutoTrac Rowsense SF1 and SF2, which provide autosteer with pinpoint accuracy for corn harvesting. This technology fuses together GPS data from the StarFire receiver with mechanical data gathered from improved row sensors, which are installed on approved corn heads. The AutoTrac RowSense Universal guidance system works in a similar manner but can be used on select models of new and older John Deere heads. www.deere.com
