Balzer builds Field Floater IV carts with capacities of 1,325 bu. and 1,550 bu., plus the huge 2,000-bu. unit with scale ready running gear. The 1325 and 1550 models come in both walking tandem axle and independent tridem (triple) axle. The tridem is standard on the 2000. The Auto-Trail Steerable Axle System steers two on the tandem and four on the tridem. The Auto-Trail’s hydraulic cylinder steering mechanism allows the grain cart to follow the tractor. These cylinders keep the steerable axles parallel to each other and lock straight when backing up.

Balzer says these models achieve the fastest unload rate in the industry, pushing out 1,090 bu. per minute via a 20-inch horizontal auger feeding a 24-inch vertical auger. Operators get joystick control and a patented hydraulic clutch engagement-disengagement mechanism to shut grain off. Balzer grain carts have hydraulically controlled grain shut off doors, an electronic scale system and halogen lights on the discharge auger and grain tank. Options include roll tarps, a bi-directional unload auger spout, seven-inch colour video camera system and grease banks for axle and front auger assemblies. www.balzerinc.com
