New Holland has added two new spreaders to its box spreader lineup, the 521 cu. ft. M2080 and the 628 cu. ft. M2090, which according to New Holland give the operator precise control and a uniform spread.
The M2080 and M2090 hitch is part of the heavy-duty channel- iron frame than extends under the box of the spreaders. The box consists of a solid poly floor with sides, front and end gate made of poly-bonded plywood. This is important because these materials are corrosion resistant to stand up to harsh conditions. They are also smooth and slippery so heavy loads can move to the back of the spreader with less torque.

The M2080 and M2090 spreaders have a reliable apron system using heavy t-bar chains that according to New Holland are reliable even with heavy loads of dense, packed material. Via an electronic control in the cab, the speed of these chains can be hydraulically adjusted independent of the PTO driven beaters. These models use an upper and lower beater to ensure that large pieces are broken up for even spreading, and the 18 replaceable beater paddles are constructed of high-strength half-inch steel for the lower beater paddles and quarter-inch for the upper paddles. www.newholland.com
