Based in Quebec, Gregson has launched a new line of Hi-Tech sprayers in 500-, 750-, 1,000-, 1,250-and 1,500-gallon units with booms 60 to 120 feet. These sprayers incorporate new features, including full-length baffles and a sloped bottom for better drainage. As well, the Gregson Hi-Tech sprayers feature very clean plumbing to reduce pressure drops and make them easier to maintain.

These sprayers also have interesting design features, such as a centre pivot with shock absorbers for self-stabilizing, plus hydraulic pumps placed at the centre of the sprayer, immediately at the sump. From there a two-inch hose takes the spray solution into three to 10 boom valves depending on boom size.

Gregson representative Lyle McLean says the adjustable axle on 1,000-, 1,250-and 1,500-gallon models enables operators to expand out to 120 inches for field operation, then easily transition to 60-inch centres for road transport.

High tech features like auto-boom for ground sensing and accu-boom to integrate GPS are also available.

New in 2011 will be the 1,000-and 1,250-gallon Gregson MS Novation sprayer. These green and grey units are targeted at operators who want a simple clean sprayer with a rate controller and 60-or 90-foot boom.
