Versatile tractors don’t have a classic “control arm” like some of the other tractor brands. According to Ryan Shust, Versatile product manager, the company has simple ergonomically designed basic controls which offer good value to the customer and are easy to repair. These controls are consistent with Versatile’s vision of providing powerful tractors with proven design that are easy to maintain and control.

Unlike some of the brands, Versatile has their information centre located in the front console above the steering wheel. The most important information is prominently displayed and easy to understand. Coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level and battery metre are all indicated in bar-graph gauges. The console is designed to minimize glare and is well lit for night operation.

The Versatile side console is designed in a simple, clean manner to give the operator total control over the tractor. There is a single lever bump-shift, which provides clutchless shifting from forward/ neutral/reverse. The console can be moved fore and aft up to seven inches for operator convenience. Also included in the console are buttons to set and resume the cruise control, which maintains a consistent engine speed for those tasks for which it is needed.
