An efficient 6.8-litre power tech engine drives John Deere’s large-frame 7030 tractors in the mid-range category. Models include the 7630 at 140 pto hp, the 7730 at 152 pto hp, the 7830 at 165 pto hp and the 7930 at 180 PTO hp.

According to Deere, the 6.8-L engine gives the tractors greater fuel economy than the previous 7020 series with the 8.1-L engine while also producing 40 per cent more torque and 10 per cent more power.

There are several choices for transmissions on the 7030 series large-frame tractors. Base equipment is the 16-speed, 19-mph Power Quad plus transmission, but options include the 25-mph Auto Quad Plus and the John Deere IVT infinitely variable transmission.

Deere says emphasis is placed on the comfort and control within the 7030 tractors series. For instance the 7030 series with the CommandView Cab has comfort features and includes items such as an automatic temperature control, Active Seat, leather heated seat and instructional seat. www.deere.com
