Challenger has stretched its product range by introducing new styling, increased horsepower ratings and increased performance with the MT 400B series. Three models, the MT 425B, MT 445B and the MT 465B feature new Cat 4.4C Tier 3 engines, and the newly introduced MT 475B brings a Tier 3 Caterpillar 6.6C in-line six-cylinder diesel.
MT 400B tractors come with an Auto-Power IV transmission that allows clutch-less shifting through four ranges and four speeds within each range. Challenger has designed the transmission so shifting can be controlled by one T-Style lever located on the right-hand console. There is also a multi-function power shuttle located on the steering column which provides fingertip directional change, declutching and speed changes with a selected range.
