Vermeer says the key to great-looking bales is to start right. A unique bottom drum design, combined with the new Vermeer dual-stage belt tightening system, is simply a better way to build a bale, the company says.

According to Vermeer, this design takes excessive stress off the belts and eliminates the need for expensive diamond belt designs or extra bale forming rollers. It also allows the operator to pull more hay into the chamber at a higher rate and it supports the bale from the core to the outside wrap. To help, rubber crowned drive rollers maintain belt tension and hardened belt guides keep everything in line, so the belts stay tight and are ready right from the start of the bale.

The Vermeer Bale Expert Monitor controls many aspects of the bale making process. This monitor generates information on individual bales as well as average bale data according to specific fields or customers. You can also select bale size and twin tie or NetWrap settings so you’re ready to build high-density, square-shouldered bales.
