National Highlights
Mild weather is expected to linger over the eastern half of the country in this period in spite of occasional cold outbreaks and shorter days. As a result, temperatures should average a little above normal across Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces. Normal rainfall is anticipated in these areas even though a few heavier precipitation events are possible on the East Coast. Frost and some snow will also show up in a few regions of Eastern Canada in late October and November. Meanwhile over the western half of the country, temperature and precipitation trends should follow a more typical autumn pattern as cold spells are mitigated at times by milder periods. Snow will appear in northern areas in late October and southern areas in early November.
