WINNIPEG, MB, Dec. 28, 2018 (CNS Canada) – ICE Futures canola contracts are stronger this morning, following the lead of soy futures.
Chicago Board of Trade soybean, oil and meal contracts are all higher also. Oilseed markest are finding support from news out of South America where there are mounting concerns about dry weather affecting soybean yields.
Canola trade volumes are small and are expected to be weak ahead of the New Year.
The Canadian dollar is virtually unchanged this morning, which is supportive for canola contracts.
About 2,100 canola contracts had traded as of 8:48 CST Friday morning.
