WINNIPEG, MB, Sept 10, 2018 (CNS Canada) – ICE Futures
canola contracts were mostly lower Monday morning, except for
the November contract which was slightly higher.
Chicago Board of Trade soybeans contracts were higher,
while soyoil and meal contracts were both slightly lower.
Northeast China was hit by frost this weekend which is
expected to have caused damage to immature soybeans, providing
support for the U.S. soybean market.
Trading could be choppy the next few days, ahead of the
United States Department of Agriculture crop production report
due out on Wednesday. Many are expecting for U.S. soybean
production, yield and carryout for the 2018/19 crop year to be
raised.
About 1,100 canola contracts had traded as of 8:09 CDT
Monday morning.
