- North Dakota declared a statewide disaster on Saturday after a storm system that included multiple tornadoes, strong winds and hail wrecked havoc Friday evening leaving three people dead.
- Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada released updated supply/demand estimates late Friday, raising their call for canola exports in 2024/25 to 9.0 million tonnes. AAFC cut their canola ending stocks forecast for the current marketing year to 1.15 million tonnes, from 1.30 million tonnes. However, they placed feed, waste and dockage for the crop at negative 959,000 tonnes — which is bound to be revised in subsequent reports.
- Statistics Canada releases updated acreage estimate on Friday, June 27, while U.S. planted area data will be released the following Monday, June 30.
