– Almost all Conservative MPs asked in an e-mail survey said
they would not join a right-wing party being set up by
Quebec MP Maxime Bernier. The survey, conducted by the Globe
and Mail, gave all Conservative MPs three possible answers:
yes, no or maybe. In all, 92 of 96 MPs answered “no”, and
four did not respond. Bernier left the Conservative party
last week, criticizing its policies of support for supply
management and for being soft on immigration.
