WINNIPEG, July 17 (CNS) – Japan and the European Union have
signed a trade deal that will remove tariffs between the two
groups on virtually all products. Items like drugs, purses,
fish, pork and wine are just some of the products covered. Rice
is one exception though as the Japanese government is reluctant
to meddle in such a culturally-important industry.
Netflix shares dropped 13 per cent on Tuesday after the
company reported a lower-than-expected round of subscriber
numbers. The company added 5.2 million users in the last
quarter, around one million fewer than predicted. The setback
comes after concerns were previously raised about a streaming
“bubble” that could reflect a change in consumer choice.
Nutrien has announced plans to acquire fellow rival Agrible
Inc. The deal is expected to be worth C$63 million. Agrible
offers real time weather updates, agronomy services, and
planning insights for sustainable decisions, according to the
company’s website.
