WINNIPEG, May 28, 2018 (CNS) – The following is a glance at
the news moving markets in Canada and globally.
More than 3,000 Canadian Pacific Railway train
conductors and engineers could strike as early as 10 p.m.
EDT on Tuesday if a negotiated settlement isn’t reached.
The workers represented by Teamsters Canada and the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers voted 98.1
per cent to reject the company’s final offer on Friday.

process to reach a first contract. Pilots who fly for Swoop
will now be covered under the same contracts as their
WestJet mainline counterparts.
