– Bank of England Governor Mark Carney has endorsed the Brexit transition plan put forward by United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May. “We welcome the transition arrangements in the withdrawal agreement,” said Carney in a testimony to Parliament. “We also take note of the possibility of extending that transition period,” he added.
– Bitcoin is in a freefall, losing 30 per cent of its value over the past week. The crypto-currency was trading at US$4,375 on Tuesday morning, down from levels in the US$6,000 area earlier in the month and well off the highs seen a year ago that neared US$20,000 at one point.
