Canadian Financial Close: Loonie inches lower at midweek

WINNIPEG, Sept. 2 (MarketsFarm) – The Canadian dollar was slightly lower on Wednesday’s close.

The dollar finished the day at US$0.7653 or US$1=C$1.3067, compared to Tuesday when it closed at US$0.7660 or US$1=C$1.3055.

The TSX Composite Index gained 52.98 points to close at 16,697.97.

Benchmark crude oil prices were weaker. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was down US$1.11 to close at US$41.65. Brent Crude was down US$1.16 at US$44.42.

Maple Leaf Foods                 up $ 0.40     at $ 29.12

Rocky Mountain Dealerships Inc.  up $ 0.06     at $  5.89
