A candidate for Toronto city council is launching legal
action to delay the provincial government’s plan to reorganize
the city’s wards. Rocco Achampong, a lawyer vying for councillor
in Ward 13, has filed for an injunction in Ontario Superior
Court to suspend the plan to draw the city’s electoral
boundaries less than 90 days before the Oct. 22 municipal
election. The reorganization would cut the number of councillors

Canadian officials say any attempt to manufacture a 3D-
printed gun in Canada without the proper licence is illegal. And
possession of 3D-printed guns without the correct licence is
also illegal under the Firearms Act. The clarification was
issued after a United States court issued a restraining order
temporary halting the release of downloadable blueprints.
