- Israeli forces pushed into northern and southern regions of Gaza on Monday, intensifying the humanitarian crisis for the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians fleeing the fighting.
- The value of building permits issued in Canada decreased by 11.7 per cent in March compared to the previous month, hitting C$10.5 billion, according to a report from Statistics Canada. The non-residential sector was down by 16.7 per cent at C$4.0 billion, while the residential sector decreased by 8.3 per cent at $6.5 billion.
- Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen is expected to give testimony at the former president’s trial in New York on Monday. Cohen worked for Trump’s real estate company for nearly a decade.
