– The mayor of Seoul, South Korea, Park Won-soon, has gone missing and a massive search is underway. Park left his daughter a ‘will-like’ message before disappearing, according to police. Prior to becoming mayor of the city of nearly 10 million people in 2011, Park was a human rights lawyer and civic activist.

– The United States Supreme Court will release a ruling today on whether or not President Donald Trump must release his tax documents and other financial records to Congress and the Manhattan district attorney. Trump has long claimed that he can’t be investigated while in office.

– U.S. jobless claims eased down to 1.3 million new claims in the latest weekly report, with the number of people receiving benefits in the country also edging down to 18.1 million, according to a report from the Labor Department. The jobs data was taken as a sign of improving economic conditions in the country that is still being hard hit by COVID-19.
