MarketsFarm — Updated crop supply/demand tables from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, released Friday, included only minor changes from the previous month.

Larger adjustments are expected after Statistics Canada releases its final production numbers for the year on Dec. 3.

Canola and all-wheat ending stocks for the 2020-21 marketing year were both left unchanged at 2.25 million and 6.3 million tonnes respectively.

A slight upward revision in expected barley exports for the year saw projected ending stocks for the crop lowered to one million tonnes, from 1.1 million in October. Oats carryout was also revised down by 100,000 tonnes, to now come in at an expected 600,000 tonnes.

Corn was the lone crop to see an upward revision in the 2020-21 carryout, with the department now estimating corn ending stocks at 2.5 million tonnes. That would be up by 200,000 tonnes from the October estimate, but still slightly off the 2.56 million-tonne carryout from 2019-20.
