NATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Frequent inclement weather is anticipated over most parts of Canada in this period. As a result, snow, heavier rains, strong winds and colder temperatures will all combine to accompany the changeover to the winter season. Despite these harsh conditions, a few pleasant, milder spells will moderate temperatures from time to time. These milder intrusions are most likely to occur across the southern Prairies and Northwestern Ontario, resulting in milder than usual temperatures and normal precipitation. Elsewhere in British Columbia, southern Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, disturbances will become more intense and result in frequent precipitation as well as other adverse weather conditions. Alternating mild and cold periods should see temperatures average near normal in these areas. Precipitation should also average near normal in spite of a couple of heavier precipitation events.
