Many provinces offer energy information through the web-sites of their provincial agriculture or energy ministries. Start by Googling “renewable energy” plus “government” and the province you want to check. If at first you don’t succeed, a bit of patience will get you there. As an example of what you’ll find, this Alberta site gives a good overview of the agricultural energy industry, all the way from providing energy efficiency tips to a listing of funding sources
